I'm Kit,
The proud founder of the woman owned and operated landscaping company Nurtured by Nature Gardenscaping.
It is my passion and desire to help others create unique and beautiful spaces to escape to in their own backyards.
As a locally grown gardener who is passionate about the outdoors, I spend close to 365 days outside.
You’ll often find me at the beach foraging for funky driftwood and pretty stones or down by the river gaining inspiration, identifying plants, and swimming in the emerald green waters.
I discovered my love for plants while working in a greenhouse, then later on a farm.
I loved the whole process, from preparing the soil, to starting seedlings, to transplanting mature, healthy plants.
I love watching things grow! Tending to their individual needs, pruning, or fertilizing seasonally. The plants seem to speak to me, all I have to do is listen.
Working many years for another landscaping company, I was able to hone my skills and discover more of my gardening passions.
I love pruning ornamental Japanese maple trees as well as fruit trees.
And of course transforming spaces into usable beautiful gardens really makes my heart sing.
